Project Details
Stress dependent responses of mRNA 3´-end processing (05)
Subject Area
Cell Biology
Term
from 2012 to 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 201348542
The team of Andreas Kulozik and Matthias Hentze (TP05) found that stress induces alternative polyadenylation (APA) of mRNAs. The team will address the molecular mechanism and the physiological importance of this novel mode of stress-dependent gene regulation. Using global tools for the analysis, they aim at unraveling the key cis-acting sequences and trans-acting factors involved in ribotoxic, ER- and oxidative stress-induced APA.
