Recovery from failure – impact of fibrosis and transcription signature (D01(B04))

In D01, we will analyze the recovery from heart failure following relief of pressure overload in patients after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) for high-grade aortic stenosis and with varying degrees of heart failure. The study combines molecular and high resolution imaging analyses of myocardial biopsy samples with clinical meta-data and cardiac imaging, and is based on an established and ongoing biobank with extensive clinical meta-data. D01 also includes clinical and biomarker data analyses from an investigator-initiated antifibrotic clinical trial, which is associated with CRC 1002 and based on previous findings from the first and the second funding period.
