This project will focus on formation of mesoporous multi metal nanocomposites based on ul-trasound-driven modification of metal and metal alloy particles. The fact that metal particles (depending on size and nature) react in dramatically different fashion towards ultrasound cavitation will be exploited for the formation of nanocomposites where functional metal nano-particles will be incorporated or/and distributed in a porous metal support. We are planning systematic investigation of ultrasound effects on multi metal systems in order to estimate the role of cavitation on structural and morphological changes of metal particles and development of mesoporous nanostructure. This fundamental study on mesotechnological application of high intensity ultrasound to multi metal systems should significantly simplify formation of nanocatalysts and enhance their properties.
