Project Details
Combinatorial materials science - Thermodynamics, kinetics and mechanical properties of multinary superalloy-subsystems (B05)
Subject Area
Metallurgical, Thermal and Thermomechanical Treatment of Materials
Term
from 2012 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 190389738
Using combinatorial materials science methods, project B5 investigates phase stabilities and oxidation properties of multinary superalloy thin film systems across large compositional ranges. New materials informatics methods are used for the analysis of the resulting multidimensional datasets and for data-driven experiments. Microfabrication methods are used for fabrication of micro-pillar and micro-shear sample-libraries, which are used for determining mechanical properties of selected multinary thin-film Systems.
