Project Details
Fatigue at high temperature (A03)
Subject Area
Mechanical Properties of Metallic Materials and their Microstructural Origins
Term
from 2012 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 190389738
In the third funding period of SFB/TR 103, project A3 investigates (i) the role of the fatigue load profile (load ratio, dwell times, load- versus strain control) on the deformation and damage processes, (ii) damage evolution in single crystalline alloy variants with different chemical composition, length scale of microstructural features, and defect population (tendency of TCP-phase precipitation, dendrite spacing, pore size distribution), (iii) the effect of rejuvenation treatment, and (iv) the role of innovative coating systems (SPS and PS-PVD) on the fatigue behavior.
