This project is based on theoretical modeling and computer simulations of macromolecules under constraints of attractive substrates and geometrical confinement. Main objective is a better understanding of basic mechanisms for the adsorption of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) to a silver substrate and for semiflexible polymers to curved surfaces as for nanoparticles, as well as aggregation of semiflexible polymers in bulk and under confinement, being of conceptual relevance for the amyloid projects. Also surface induced crystallization shall be considered.
