The Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) prepares its ca. 30 doctoral researchers to work independently in academia or industry, and provides them with skills and proficiency in tools for solving interdisciplinary scientific and applied problems. Qualification issues, organization, and our supervising concepts remain embedded in the research and teaching environment of the TR32 partners to ensure an internationally recognized education and degree. Within the Phase III, IRTG will work together with existing local graduate schools at the different universities in order to continue successful IRTG approaches also after its lifetime.
