Subject Area
Bioinformatics and Theoretical Biology
Term
from 2010 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 34509606
The INF project goes for two main goals: 1. further developing bioinformatics applications for the project with the focus on data analyses and mathematical modelling of gene regulatory processes in D. shibae; therefore, work on the platform-independent PRODORIC database will be finished and linked to the BRENDA, BacDive, KEGG and Pfam databases for the use by the Virtual footprint tool. 2. sequencing, assembling and carefully annotating the genome of P. minimum,. An overall data management strategy will be developed and implemented in close collaboration with the University Library Braunschweig.
