Coordination in the DFG Priority Program 1362 (MOFs)
Applicant
Professor Dr. Stefan Kaskel
Subject Area
Inorganic Molecular Chemistry - Synthesis and Characterisation
Term
from 2008 to 2016
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 79316609
The DFG priority program MOFs (SPP 1362) concentrates on the synthesis, the physical properties and the specific integration of functionality into Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), a new class of porous materials. The coordination project supports the integration, communication, and information exchange of scientists working in the program. The project will further support the coordinator in the construction of the German MOF network, as well as the administration and organization of the SPP. The program SPP 1362 will continue to use different tools suited to facilitate cooperation and education: Progress report meetings with all teams in the SPP and industry representatives, topical workshops with national and international experts for better integration in international networks, and the mobility program gives younger scientists the opportunity to work for one week in a laboratory of a selected SPP member in order to exchange materials, methods, and ideas. For the national and international exchange an informational web-based network will be continued to use.
