Project Details
Targetable (Epi)Genetic, Physiological and Neuroimaging Risk Markers of Anxiety Sensitivity: A Developmental, Cross-Disorder Prevention Study of Separation Anxiety and Panic Disorder (C02)
Subject Area
Biological Psychiatry
Term
from 2008 to 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 44541416
In a multi-level model of anxiety disorders across the life-span, environmental and (epi)genetic factors as well as physiological and neural network markers during a carbon dioxide (CO2) challenge will be investigated for their potential as predictors and/or mediators of a preventive intervention along the anxiety sensitivity/separation anxiety/panic disorder spectrum. The identified risk markers are expected to contribute to a targetable predictive risk marker panel informing future indicated and thus even more effective preventive measures for anxiety disorders.
