Sintering, hot forming and characterisation (A06*)

Subject Area Primary Shaping and Reshaping Technology, Additive Manufacturing
Term from 2008 to 2020
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 54473466

Project Description

The subproject A6 focusses on Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) and massive forming of steel-matrix-composites. On the one hand, the focus of the investigation of the powder forging process is on the influence of the stress state and its interaction with temperature and time on the quality of the phase interfaces and the properties of uniform and graded composites. On the other hand, the sintering behaviour and the microstructural evolution during SPS of graded materials and structures consisting of hollow spheres will be investigated.
