Assignment of the relative and absolute configuration of marine natural products using NMR spectroscopy and computational approaches

Applicant Privatdozent Dr. Matthias Koeck
Subject Area Analytical Chemistry
Term from 2008 to 2015
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 44192252

Project Description

The major goal of this project is the isolation and identification of new natural products applying NMR and computational methods to elucidate their structures, including the relative and absolute configuration as already described in the first application. The distance geometry approach will be extended to include RDCs since it is most suited for constitutionally diverse molecules. This, and the possibility for enantiomer differentiating alignment may ultimately lead to the determination of absolute configurations.
