Neuronal representation of motivational value and context in explicit and implicit learning (A04)

Subject Area Human Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience
Term from 2008 to 2019
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 36555331

Project Description

Recent work in this subproject has demonstrated that both implicit and explicit rewards are involved in the incidental learning of repeated spatial configurations. For the next funding period, we intend to further investigate aspects of the reward - relative reward value, gain versus loss - and aspects of cognitive processing - target versus context learning, expression of learning, working memory capacity - that may contribute to reward enhancement of spatial contextual cueing. A new aspect will consist of developmental studies of reward modulation of contextual cueing over the lifespan.
