Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 32049920
Electrostatic interactions play an important role in protein recognition at the molecular level. Linear and globular anionic polymers, as well as precisely fitting compounds with complementary charge of the receptor surfaces will be analyzed. Targets are the oligovalent proteins LOX-1 and C1q. In vitro binding studies including cellular readout systems will be applied to promote an iterative process of chemical synthesis. Aim of the project is to realize maximal shielding of target proteins.
