Project Details
Gammy-ray to neutrino connection with a focus on Active Galactic Nuclei (M10*)
Subject Area
Astrophysics and Astronomy
Term
since 2025
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 283604770
The project aims to deepen the understanding of high-energy neutrino sources, particularly Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), through a collaboration of neutrino physicists and astronomers. By putting the observational puzzle pieces of neutrino luminous objects and their gamma-ray emissions together, it is aimed at elucidating the role of AGNs in the diffuse neutrino signal observed by IceCube, and discovering signatures of cosmic factories of standard and non-standard particles beyond the current paradigm.
