The University of Bremen intends to acquire a single-crystal diffractometer and applies for proportional cost coverage in the large-scale research equipment program in accordance with Art. 91b GG. The applicants and main users are five colleagues from departments 2 (Biology and Chemistry) and 5 (Geosciences) who would like to use the device for structure elucidation as part of their various research activities. The single crystal diffractometer will be equipped with a dual microfocus X-ray source (Mo and Cu radiation), a powerful digital detector, a low-temperature unit and a diamond anvil cell for measurements under pressure.
