Generic description of damage and microstructure for damage-tolerant material design (Project B05)

Project B05 focuses on integrating and generalizing the methods developed in the first two funding periods towards an analysis of the entire process chain, from the material state after hot rolling to component deployment. In a first step, the sRVE generator is expanded to enable the generation of sRVE for DP800 directly from the input of cold rolling and heat treatment process parameters. Subsequently, simulative studies on combined forming and performance load cases are used to identify damage tolerant microstructures and the associated promising process windows.
