A PMAS observing run shall investigate two scientific objectives: (1) Flux measurement in [OIII] 5007 A for luminous galactic planetary nebulae with GAIA parallaxes as reference for the luminosity function of planetary nebulae to calibrate extragalactic distance determinations for a novel and independent technique to measure the Hubble constant, (2) study of SDSS candidate galaxies for Lyman continuum escape, analogous to "green pea" galaxies.
