Aim and objective is the co-ordinated handling of projects in the field of pathogenesis, diagnostic and immunotherapy of morbus Hodgkin and related diseases. The pathogenic aspect centres on problems associated with the molecular development of Hodgkin's lymphoma. Emphasis is directed towards the molecular genetic analysis of single cells and the comparison to normal developmental and differentiation processes. The molecular staging of Hodkin's lymphoma represents the diagnostic project focus. The aspect of immunotherapy deals with the immunisation with idio-typ, the gene transfer of T-cell receptors, the use of recombinant fusion toxins and the cytokine gene transfer in Hodgkin cells.
