Term

Project identifier

The mechanisms of emotion regulation training have mainly been investigated in healthy individuals. It remains unclear how effective emotion regulation training is in improving emotion regulation in patients with affective disorders and whether this could also influence the long-term course of the illness in patients. In project C01, patients with depression train their emotion regulation for eight weeks. We multi-methodologically investigate whether our training changes emotion regulation (brain networks of emotion regulation, flexibility of emotion regulation strategy choice) and whether targeting the mechanisms through training improves the course of illness.
