Cross-species screens and investigation of UPS vulnerabilities in high grade lymphoma (A11)

Subject Area Hematology, Oncology
Term since 2024
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 514894665

Project Description

We propose to investigate the roles of ubiquitin genes in aggressive lymphomas using genetic engineering and screening in human cell cultures and mouse models. Emphasizing their dependence on external signals, we aim to dissect the ubiquitin system, with a first priority on RNF113a, in lymphoma biology and therapy. CRISPR screens will be used to interrogate all ubiquitin genes in different lymphoma contexts and under chemotherapy. Our long-term goal is to identify and exploit ubiquitin gene as novel candidates for lymphoma therapies.
