Project Description

Monitoring of Germany’s mobility transition: data and methods. Motivated by the carbon pricing system launched in Germany in 2021, this project develops new statistical methods to investigate the response of households’ mobility to changes in the relative costs of alternative transport modes. In the long run, practically relevant adaptive versions of the two-stage models and model fitting techniques will be developed to estimate fuel price elasticities.
