There is a broad interest in time periodic systems showing dynamical localization. On the theoretical side there are many investigations of the kicked rotator [1] and on the experimental side on driven Rydberg atoms [2] and atoms in magneto optical traps where the kicking is realized by a modulated standing light field [3]. We want to setup a new experiment to show dynamical localization which seems to be more flexible than the previous ones. The system is a microwave cavity with an additionally attached channel where the reflection and transmission coefficient can be varied using a diode switch. The driving frequency (d can be chosen in a wide range from extremely local, i.e. much smaller compared to the resonance with to much larger than the mean distance ¿ of the resonances. In the case where the drivin frequency is larger than ¿ we hope to find dynamical localization.
