This proposal asks for funds required for the coordination of the priority program. A prime incentive of the priority program is to develop an information and communication structure for the members and associates of the program. Members of the priority program will be encouraged to collaborate on related topics and on the development of new methods and techniques, as well as sharing expensive and/or rare equipment. The coordination of the priority program includes the following tasks: - to create and maintain an infrastructure for communication between members of the priority program (homepage, email net, meetings etc.) - to organize colloquia (one per year) - to initiate small business meetings between collaborating members of the priority program (to discuss subtopics of the program, new initiatives, international collaborations of a group of members of the program) - to encourage exchange of techniques and collaborations, including mutual lab visits (e.g. to learn a technique, to discuss a project etc.), and provide funds - to support young scientists to develop collaborations within the program (exchange of techniques, learning of new methods, lab visits).
