At the University of Wuppertal an apparatus for high-resolution thermal and electrical transport investigations at low temperatures and high magnetic fields shall be implemented. The apparatus will be used for carrying out research on magnetic and electronic excitations of quantum spin magnets, topological semimetals, unconventional superconductors, and related materials. The system should cover the whole temperature range from about 10 mK up to room temperature and provide a magnetic flux density of up to 20 T at the sample position. In order to be able to rotate the magnetic field direction during the measurement, the system must provide the possibility to rotate the sample holder.
