The Bernard-Bolzano-Gesamtausgabe [BGA], which has been published since 1969, provides a most valuable contribution to the study of the work of the Bohemian philosopher, mathematician and theologian Bernard Bolzano (1781-1848). Of the planned 130 volumes, 108 have now been published. The volumes that are still outstanding are primarily those that the previous editors of the BGA had postponed due to the high level of difficulty. The present application is for support for the edition of Bolzano's philosophical diaries from the years 1811 to 1817. The two associated manuscripts in the Prague Bolzano estate are entitled "Analecta mixta VII" and "... VIII". They are to be published for the first time as part of the BGA as Volume 2B,16/2. The applicant has recently become one of the two general editors of the BGA. The proposed employee is one of Bolzano's most experienced editors.
