First discoveries of arthrodires (Placodermi) from the Kellwasser facies of southern Morocco will be studied with respect to their osteology and taxonomy and compared with specimens from the Kellwasser limestone of Bad Wildungen (Germary). In addition the following objectives shall be investigated: 1) The stratigraphical position of the new discoveries from Morocco and the specimens from Bad Wildungen based on conodonts and other microvertebrates. 2) Conclusions on the palaeoenvironment and the depositional regime based on the taphonomy of the Kellwasser facies arthrodires. 3) The sedimentology in the transitional zone between the Tafilalt Platform and the Tafilalt Basin (southern Morocco) and the changes of the arthrodire and microvertebrate assemblages from shallow into deep water deposits. 4) The reconstruction of the relationships between the arthrodire assemblages along the northern margin of Gondwana... and the southern margin of Laurussia...
