This project is concerned with modeling and numerical analysis for thermodynamically consistent inviscid gas equations for binary mixtures in pipes with wall friction. We investigate general pressure laws and the underlying structure of mixture equations. The aim is to identify entropy stable models which for suitable coupling conditions extend to networks. For those we develop a numerical scheme that is asymptotic preserving in the high friction and low Mach number limit. Furthermore, for a single component flow with nonlinear friction law we contribute to the analysis of this limit.
