A detailed study of the structure and evolution of different sub-basins of the CEBS between the North-Sea and Poland will be performed in terms of a 3D-model, which will serve as a data structure for more sophisticated dynamic studies using FE-methods. The attempt is to integrate information about the sedimentary fill and the deep crustal structure into a concise model which, then, will be used to evaluate a subsidence analysis, a volumetric analysis of sediment accumulation, stretching rates through time, as well as to test isostatic compensation models against active yielding conditions. ...
