Multi-omics analysis of sex variability (M07)
Subject Area

Term
since 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 515637292
This project aims to gain a better understanding of the development of gonadal tissue in a spatiotemporal context. The study will spatiotemporally characterise 22 currently available gonadal tissues, comprising 15 different DSD manifestations on the transcriptome, proteome and genetic levels. Spatial information will be complemented with genetic data, including structural variations and what we call the regulome. This information will be compared with transcriptome regulation of hormone signalling in sex development from transformed iPSCs (provided by M02), and that of androgen-dependent cell type composition changes in mice (provided by M01 and M03) and metabolome characteristics (provided by M05).
