The single cell transcriptional and chromatin landscape of sex differentiation and the role of the androgen pathway in extra-genital somatic tissues (M01)

Subject Area Human Genetics
Endocrinology, Diabetology, Metabolism
Term since 2024
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 515637292

Project Description

This project will establish a transcriptional and chromatin atlas of sex diversity of somatic tissue differentiation at single cell resolution in two mouse models: the TFM (testicular feminisation) and the CYP17KI mouse. We expect a single cell transcriptome-based model of the distribution and extent of somatic sexually differing cell types and tissues in mice and will map this information onto the human body to enhance understanding and awareness of the complexity of sex development including specifically diverse somatic tissues and cells.
