Nonlinear Dynamics and the Instabilities of Thin Film Dewetting

The principal goal of this research project is to understand certain dynamical phenomena observed in the course of dewetting of thin liquid films. In particular, we will investigate the onset of the 'fingering' instability, and the base state from which it evolves.
