The crosstalk between non-canonical autophagy, maintenance of tissue homeostasis and sensing by the immune system remains poorly understood. This project focuses on secretory autophagy and the regulation of MHC-I-like molecule expression and localization. It will evaluate the impact of mechanisms depending on secretory autophagy and/or regulation of MHC-I-like molecules by autophagy on immune homeostasis in human and murine disease models.
