Excavation of a unique LBK mass burial in Vráble, SW-Slowakia and exploration of its social context

The goal of this proposal is to completely excavate, document, and recover the spectacular mass burial of several dozen headless burials found and partially excavated in 2022 in a section of the enclosure trench in the LBK settlement of Vráble-Velke Lehemby, and to conduct archaeological and scientific research on the overall find in order to characterize and classify the buried population in the social context of the site.
