Targeting rewired ALK/RAS/MAPK signaling in neuroblastoma (B04)

Subject Area Bioinformatics and Theoretical Biology
Hematology, Oncology
Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine
Term since 2023
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 493872418

Project Description

Project B04 investigates the effects of mutations in the RAS/MAPK pathway on signaling in neuroblastoma cells and the role of feedback and rewiring in resistance development. Computational models will be used to identify inhibitor combinations that counteract resistance development. These will be validated in existing cell and mouse models and tested in clinical trials for the treatment of ultra-highrisk, refractory or relapsed neuroblastoma. Companion diagnostics based on liquid biopsies are being developed to implement personalized therapy strategies and improve cure rates in neuroblastoma.
