The project aims to investigate the relationships between genetic and epigenetic influences in tumor evolution through bulk and single-cell sequencing studies of genomic and epigenomic profiles in spatially separated tumor tissue samples. Computational tools will be developed to analyze epigenetic trait responses to chemotherapeutic pressure and elucidate resistance mechanisms to epigenetically targeted drugs. The goal is to identify and validate biomarkers for clinical disease progression.
