Molecular specificity of BSK proteins in MAP kinase signaling pathways (B12#)

Subject Area Plant Cell and Developmental Biology
Term since 2023
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 232631280

Project Description

BRASSINOSTEROID SIGNALING KINASE (BSK) family proteins serve as ubiquitous phosphorylation-dependent scaffold proteins in SERK-dependent signaling pathways in development and innate immunity. In the context of ERECTA signaling, we will analyze in this project the role of BSK family proteins in conveying specificity in MAP3K recruitment. With ERECTA, FLS2 and HAESA-LIKE1 as examples, we will furthermore analyze the overlap of signaling output (transcriptional targets) of prototype pathways in development and innate immunity.
