Project Details
Optimization for Dynamic Mixed Reality User Interfaces (C07*)
Subject Area
Human Factors, Ergonomics, Human-Machine Systems
Term
since 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 251654672
We aim to develop and explore approaches for optimizing mixed reality user interfaces for visual computing applications. To effectively support the user when interacting with the virtually augmented world, we must first identify suitable optimization parameters from the interaction context (i.e., environment, activity, and user), develop approaches for resolving conflicts between multiple optimization objectives, and establish strategies for dynamically applying the user interface adaptations. Evaluation of the resulting interactive research prototypes will reveal implications for future interaction design.
