This project focuses on automorphic periods: integrals of automorphic forms on locally symmetric spaces over suitable subspaces. In many cases, bounds for such periods play an important role for equidistribution questions. The absolute squares of the periods are often related to special L-values. This project investigates the periods themselves. One of the key tools are theta lifts that relate the various underlying algebraic groups.
