In a time of OA transformation with its cost models, the University of Tübingen would like to further promote and enable Open Access publishing for its members. At the same time, it wants to create structures that allow the decentrally organised university to achieve the greatest possible transparency about the total funds used for OA publications. To this end, rules and monitoring procedures are being established and implemented in cooperation with central offices of the University and the Faculty of Medicine. Accompanying structures imply, among other things, the organisational and technical implementation of ORCID, the creation of better visibility of OA publications of the university and their long-term archiving. As a further goal, more centralised procedures are also to be established in financing, management and the establishment of administrative processes with the perspective of an integrated information budget.
