Nonlinear Infrared Short-Time Spectroscopy for the Characterization of Fluorine-Specific Interactions: Structure, Dynamics and Catalytic Determinants of H∙∙∙F-Networks on Fluorido Complexes and Metallo-peptides (A09*)
Subject Area
Physical Chemistry of Molecules, Liquids and Interfaces, Biophysical Chemistry
Term
since 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 387284271
In project A9N|Horch, ultrafast and nonlinear 2D infrared spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations are used to elucidate and quantify structural and dynamic aspects of Fluorine-Specific interactions. The focus is on interactions in the coordination sphere of catalytic metal centers, particularly hydrogen bonds involving fluo-rine-containing reactants or fluorinated ligand systems. Furthermore, Fluorine-Specific interactions in metal complexes of peptides with fluorinated amino acids are elucidated.
