Hydrodynamic Equations for Integrable Many-Body Systems (B03)

Subject Area Mathematics
Term since 2023
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 470903074

Project Description

The dynamics of integrable many-body systems, either quantum or classical, is governed by hydrodynamic equations in approximation on sufficiently large spacetime scales. The goal of our project is a study of the key elements of the theory, as generalised Gibbs states, their mixing properties, and their average of local conservation laws. As a start, the primary models are the Toda lattice and the Calogero model using their explicit transformation to scattering coordinates. The mathematical part will be supported by molecular dynamics simulations.
