Synthesis and Properties of Functional Materials
Term
since 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 388390466
Project B09 aims to improve the understanding of the role of real structure features of Co-based spinels and operando-formed hydrous oxides and oxyhydroxides on the OER activity and to unravel the activation or deactivation processes of the active features. This will be done by correlating local electrochemical experiments (SECCM, EC-AFM) with localized compositional and structural investigations (APT, EBSD, SEM) before and after OER measurements to identify active sites and gain improved mechanistic understanding.
