Subject Area
Condensed Matter Physics
Term
Funded in 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 506390191
Scattering near-field microscope for high spatially resolved and temporally correlated Fourier transformation spectroscopy in the spectral range from 100 GHz to 3 THz to study electrical, thermal and optical effects of magnetotransport in antiferromagnetic thin films on a length scale of about ~10 nm. The focus is on excitation, dynamics and novel switching processes of antiferromagnetic nanostructures. The synchrotron radiation of the low energy storage ring "Metrology Light Source" (MLS) at the Willy-Wien-Laboratorium of PTB in Berlin-Adlershof is used as a powerful radiation source in the continuous infrared and terahertz spectral range for the FT-SNOM.
