Project Details
Towards pulsed photo-DNP at high magnetic fields (B04)
Subject Area
Analytical Chemistry
Term
since 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 454252029
Experimental and theoretical work by our research group has put pulsed DNP on the map as a new approach to enhancing the sensitivity of high-resolution magic-angle spinning (MAS) NMR. The approach is, however, only viable when combined with dedicated high-frequency and high-amplitude microwave sources. This engineering challenge will be tackled in Projects B01 and B03, in collaboration with our group. Meanwhile, in this project, we will put our DNP pulse sequences to a new test: we will investigate if they can be used to transfer polarization from photo-excited triplet states to nuclei.
