For the 3rd funding period transpiration cooling in a rocket combustion chamber is to be considered for realistic conditions, i.e., high pressures and temperatures. For this purpose, the physical model (porous medium, coupling conditions) has to be extended and the numerical methods have to be further developed so as to take multiscale effects into account. This concerns, in particular, homogenization, coupling condi-tions, and stable discretizations of transport-dominated problems. The developed methods are to be inte-grated in a virtual demonstrator of a rocket combustion chamber and, thus, provide a significant contribu-tion to the overall success of the SFB-TR 40.
