The aim of the proposed project is to define neurobiological markers that allow to predict treatment success of dialectic behavioral therapy in Borderline personality disorder with high accuracy. To this end, we will combine functional and structural imaging data acquired using magnetic resonance imaging as well as genetic and epigenetic information in multivariate analyses.Successful prediction of treatment responses is highly desirable to allocate limited and costly treatment resources to patients which are most likely to respond and could additional improve our understanding of the underlying mechanisms of Borderline personality disorder.
