The influence of stroma-metastasis interaction on tumor evolution (C02 [B07])

Project C2 will characterize adaptive processes of metastatic tumors and predict the seeding probability depending on tumor genome and environment. We will study colorectal cancer, which frequently develops liver metastases, and analyze single-cell data with our recently developed methods. This project will address how tumor environment shapes cancer evolution, how the tumor shapes its environment, and how these interactions affect the seeding of metastases.
