In the following application, the University of Potsdam proposes to pursue the goal of strengthening and further expanding its open access activities. With the aid of its publication fund — in existence since 2015 —, transformational agreements and publishing agreements with open access components, in addition to accompanying educational and promotional measures, the university aims to maintain its high, institution-wide 80% open access share of journal articles. In addition, it aims to increase its share of gold open access journal articles and further grow the university press’s offering of diamond open access journals. The institution further purposes to expand and automate its existing workflows for the university-wide monitoring of all publications and their associated costs in order to create a comprehensive (virtual) information budget. To this end, the university library will continue to expand its central publication monitoring system.
