With the present project, the IZW intends to put the promotion of Open Access publications on a solid financial basis. This would allow the institute to combine the two most important goals of its publication strategy - publishing research results in the highest-ranking international journals and increasing the proportion of Open Access publications. In the future, publication costs should not be a criterion in the selection of the most suitable journal or in the decision to publish Open Access. In addition, the IZW aims to implement information infrastructure to gain a better overview of Opean Access publishing expenditures.
